Smokey Bay Air Pilot Position
Smokey Bay Air is seeking a full time pilot.
Smokey Bay Air (SBA) is a commuter and on-demand Part 135 operation based in Homer, Alaska. Homer is a vibrant coastal town, on the road system. SBA has a fleet of Cessna 206s and 207s, and offers daily service to the communities of Seldovia, Port Graham, and Nanwalek. Additionally, SBA offers summer time bear viewing tours on the coasts of Lake Clark and Katmai National Parks. This is an excellent opportunity for those who enjoy unique flying, customer interaction, the outdoors and wildlife.
This is a full time, year-round position. Competitive pay. Jumpseat privileges on Ravn (non-CASS). Nice pay increase while working as a bear viewing guide.
Required: Part 135 VFR minimums with an instrument rating. Ability and desire to live and work in Homer year-round, for two summer/ winter seasons.

We are a dedicated team where every individual has a large impact. We are looking for a motivated individual with excellent flying and interpersonal skills. We do an interview process with a flight evaluation before making hiring decisions. Apart from Homer, all of our airports and landing areas are 2,000 feet long or less. Expect a lot of training after hiring, however, we expect pilots who do an evaluation with us to be competent stick and rudder pilots, confident working on/ off 2,000 foot gravel strips. We are looking for someone who wants to live/ work in Homer for at least two summer/ winter seasons. Candidate must be willing/ able to relocate to Homer when hired. Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
